SENCo - RedbridgeSalary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) + TLR1B Start Date: September 2025

A rewarding opportunity has arisen in Redbridge for an experienced and committed SENCo to lead on SEND provision in a high-performing secondary school. This is a vital leadership post with responsibility for delivering a strategic, inclusive vision and ensuring the needs of all SEND learners are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and embed inclusive practice in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2014).
  • Maintain and manage the SEND register and profile across the school.
  • Coordinate effective interventions, EHC plan applications, and student reviews.
  • Support and develop staff through training and mentoring to embed Quality First Teaching.
  • Track student progress using academic and behavioural data to identify and address barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with external agencies in Redbridge to provide additional support where needed.
  • Manage SEND administration including policies, budgets, reporting, and compliance.
Leadership & Development
  • Act as a role model of best practice in inclusive teaching.
  • Lead departmental self-evaluation, improvement planning, and performance management.
  • Chair regular SEND meetings and liaise with pastoral, curriculum, and senior leaders.
  • Ensure robust staff induction and development for LSAs and SEND team members.
  • Provide input on careers guidance, transition, and emotional support provision for SEND students.

This role includes one day per week teaching and offers potential for additional TLR for a candidate with the experience to take provision further.
