Position Overview: As a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality gas services to our clients in the social housing sector. This includes conducting routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown maintenance of gas appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine servicing of gas appliances in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair gas appliance breakdowns efficiently and effectively.
- Perform gas safety checks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client queries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Complete accurate documentation, including service reports and records of work carried out.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure timely completion of service requests and maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Gas Safe Registered with relevant qualifications.
- Proven experience as a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer, preferably in the social housing sector.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
