Reed Banking are currently representing a prestigious international bank in their search for a dedicated Operations officer. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the bank's Operations department, offering a dynamic and challenging environment for the right candidate.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of all work and payments.
  • Input and maintain transactions including inward and outward funds transfers, Foreign Exchange settlements, and money market deposits and loans.
  • Manage all aspects of clearing, such as cheques, DDRs, standing orders, BACs, and paying-in processes.
  • Issue and order cheque and paying-in books, and carry out batch checking of journal entries.
  • Process various transactions and SWIFT messages, and verify SWIFT messages for accuracy.
  • Open accounts for banks and groups as directed, handle rollovers, and perform confirmation matching.
  • Deliver cash as necessary, conduct investigations, and manage the filing system for payments, transfer tickets, deal tickets, confirmations, and general documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial transactions and record maintenance.
  • Proficiency in managing SWIFT messages and other banking communications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong adherence to regulatory requirements and bank procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate efficiently within a team.
