CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location - Tooting, South West London
Position - EYFS Assistant Headteacher
Type of work - Leadership and class-based teaching - including strategic oversight of the EYFS phase, supporting curriculum development, leading staff, monitoring teaching & learning, and carrying out class teacher responsibilities (planning, preparation, assessment, and parent engagement).
Start date - 5th January 2026
End date - July 2026 with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27
Contract type - Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Rate Of Pay: LGPS (dependent on experience)
Hours - 8:00am - 16:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS / KS1
DBS on the Update Service
Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework, National Curriculum, and effective assessment practices.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching that promotes progress and inclusion for all pupils.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, well-being, and continuous professional development.
Collaborative, reflective, and passionate about providing the best start to every childs education

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
