The Role

As General Manager, you will set the tone for the entire front-of-house operation. You will lead, inspire, and mentor the team, drive the restaurants commercial performance, and ensure every service runs seamlesslyfrom first greeting to final farewell. This is a leadership role for someone who blends emotional intelligence with strategic thinking and has a passion for hospitality at the highest level.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional, elegant service that meets and exceeds Michelin expectations
  • Uphold and continuously improve service standards, ensuring the guest journey is seamless, intuitive, and warm
  • Manage daily operations with precisionoverseeing floor shifts, briefing the team, and ensuring a flawless dining environment
  • Recruit, train, and nurture talentcoaching with care, structure, and accountability
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior team to maintain flow, timing, and consistency across all services
  • Take ownership of key KPIs including revenue, cost control, labour, and guest satisfaction metrics
  • Drive beverage sales through a strong understanding of fine wine, cocktails, and pairing strategy
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing, and legal requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships and work with the beverage and wine team on purchasing and stock control
  • Represent Akoko with professionalism and pride at all timesbuilding lasting relationships with guests, partners, and the wider hospitality community
