We are looking for a talented General Manager with a passion for running incredible pubs.

The Prince of Peckham opened in 2017 & our ethos was to give South London a new place to meet, socialise and feel welcome. We are all about the community & seeing the response from people has been humbling.

We are seeking a dynamic and switched-on General Manager with a proven record of running venues that encompass events and club nights.

The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of our beloved pub in terms of guest experiences, staffing including recruiting and development, cost control, compliance & licensing. The ultimate goal being to increase profitability by constantly challenging the current operations and researching and implementing new opportunities to increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the pub.
  • Be hands-on and lead from the front with exceptional hospitality standards.
  • Manage and lead the team with high energy and a hands-on approach.
  • Have an enthusiastic, warm, can-do, hands-on, and inspirational attitude.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences and maintain a world-class atmosphere.
  • Show excellent communication skills and the ability to work alongside the owner to develop ideas.
  • Oversee everything from bars to kitchens to events.
  • Keep a laser focus on P&L, balancing growth with the highest quality.
  • Smash sales goals and develop killer strategies to keep the business ahead of the curve.
  • Support colleagues and teams and to further develop the brand into something extraordinary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2 years minimum experience as a General Manager
  • A fun and engaging personality with a serious commitment to hospitality.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for learning and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with guests, staff, artists/djs and reporting to owner.
  • Understanding of stock, budgeting and GP levels.
  • Ambition to develop the group.
