Experienced General Managers wanted for our independent, growing pub company

Aldrich Inns is expanding!

Our mission is to breathe life back into neglected heritage pubs by refurbishing the venues inside and out to create a clean, elegant atmosphere while preserving original historical features and character. We introduce a unique tap beer selection that leverages our free-of-tie status, showcasing some of Britains finest independent brewers. We have a very strong food offering centred around traditional British cuisine and pub classics, prepared and served to a consistently high standard.

We're looking for dynamic, ambitious and experienced General Managers to join our team as we open new sites. With our estate of pubs stretching across Central London.

We're looking for a GM who has worked at least 2 years in a similar role. Experience working with prepped from fresh food and good knowledge of draught beer is a massive plus! Excellent customer service skills are a must and the ability to train, motivate and organise your team to a high standard is expected. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly, from food operations to customer experience. As General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a positive environment for both staff and guests while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Your Duties

  • Oversee all operations across all departments within the pub upholding high standards of service and product quality
  • Supervise and lead the team, providing training, guidance and support to enhance their performance and build their skillsets.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage daily food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality control in food production.
  • Ensure that all costs within the business are diligently controlled to deliver bottom line profit
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order stock as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new staff on restaurant procedures, food safety practices, and delivering excellent guest experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments within Aldrich Inns to enhance overall guest experience.

Your Skills

  • Proven experience in supervising staff within a pub, restaurant or other hospitality setting.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and staff.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining quality & standards.
