The Role – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child in Key Stage 1 who has a diagnosis of Autism (ASD). You will provide tailored academic and emotional support, helping the pupil to engage in learning, develop communication and social skills, and build confidence in the classroom. You’ll work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies and structured routines that meet the child’s individual needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, calm, and nurturing, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
