Position: ASD Teaching Assistant
Type: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent
Remedy Education is seeking experienced ASD Teaching Assistants for long-term positions. This is a fantastic opportunity to support schools in providing care and assistance to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for children with ASD and SEN.
- Assist teachers with day-to-day teaching and learning activities.
- Support personal care tasks where required.
- Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, and health and safety.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and associated challenging behaviours.
- A minimum of 3 months' experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant.
- Commitment to working with children with SEN.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and adapt to students' needs.
- Proactive, patient, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills and a passion for working with children with Special Needs.
- Experience working one-to-one with students is highly desirable.
