ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Pay: 95 - 115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Remedy Education are looking for a patient, proactive and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Greenwich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Autism who is confident, calm, and committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

You will be supporting a pupil with ASD on a one-to-one basis as well as assisting the class teacher with classroom routines and learning activities. The school is warm, inclusive and offers excellent support for staff working with SEND.



The role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with Autism

  • Assist with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction

  • Help implement strategies set by the SENCo and class teacher

  • Support learning activities and encourage positive engagement

  • Assist with routines, transitions and behaviour strategies

  • Build a stable, trusting relationship to support the child's wellbeing



The ideal candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD is essential

  • Confident using visual supports, clear communication and routine-based approaches

  • Patient, calm and able to follow structured SEN plans

  • Adaptable and able to respond sensitively to the child's needs

  • A team player who can work closely with teachers and the SENCo

  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
