An enthusiastic and well-qualified ScienceTeacher with a specialism and passion for Biology is required to join an Outstanding girls' school in Haringey for a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the fundamental principles of biology and their relevance to the world around them.
Responsibilities
- They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Biology to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- The role involves effectively teaching biological concepts, adhering to the school's curriculum.
- They will foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for biology.
- Assessment and monitoring of student progress in Science (Biology), along with providing feedback, will be required.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Biology or Science with a strong Biology background is essential.
- Experience teaching Science lessons with a focus on Biology at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
- A solid understanding of biological principles is expected.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
