Permanent Teacher of Chemistry (A-Level Focus, Potential for Curriculum Leadership) - Outstanding Inner London School (Chemistry Department)
An outstanding inner London school is seeking a talented and ambitious Permanent Teacher of Chemistry with a strong specialization in A-Level Chemistry and the potential to contribute to curriculum leadership within our Sixth Form Chemistry provision in the Chemistry Department. This role will be primarily focused on delivering inspirational and impactful A-Level Chemistry teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, challenging, and inspiring Chemistry lessons exclusively to A-Level students, fostering a passion for the subject.
- Demonstrate a deep and current understanding of the A-Level Chemistry specification and assessment, with a proven ability to maximize student progress and attainment.
- Track and meticulously analyze student performance in A-Level Chemistry, implementing innovative strategies for continuous improvement and outstanding results.
- Collaborate proactively with colleagues on the development, refinement, and strategic direction of the A-Level Chemistry curriculum and resources.
- Mentor and support students in their advanced studies and university applications for Chemistry and related STEM fields.
- Potential to take on curriculum leadership responsibilities within KS5 Chemistry in the Chemistry Department in the future.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A first-class or strong upper second-class degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Substantial and demonstrably successful experience teaching Chemistry exclusively at A-Level in a high-performing school is essential.
- A profound and current understanding of the A-Level Chemistry landscape, best practices in its delivery, and strategies for achieving exceptional student outcomes.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with clear evidence of leadership potential and a passion for mentoring both students and colleagues.
