About the Computer Science Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicatedComputer Science Teacherto join our high-achieving Computing department. The successfulComputer Science Teacherwill have the opportunity to teachComputer Scienceacross Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities of the Computer Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-qualityComputer Sciencelessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to exploreComputer Scienceconcepts and develop their computational thinking skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress inComputer Science, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development of theComputer Sciencecurriculum and departmental resources.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements inComputer Scienceand incorporate new technologies into the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards ofComputer Scienceteaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree inComputer Scienceor a related field.
• Experience teachingComputer Scienceat the secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum forComputer Science.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
