The Opportunity
Long Term Futures are working in collaboration with a modern and inclusive primary school in Camden to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant in Reception. This diverse and community-focused school is seeking an experienced EYFS practitioner to provide tailored support to several pupils with complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions and developmental delays.
You'll work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide structured one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction. Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting individual pupils through one-on-one tutoring during structured play and focused activities
- Using visual aids, timetables and sensory tools to establish routine and reduce anxiety
- Assisting with early communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
- Adapting learning materials and contributing to lesson planning within the EYFS framework
- Monitoring progress daily and sharing feedback with the class teacher and SENCO
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience supporting children in early years, especially with ASD or developmental needs
- A patient and proactive approach to behaviour management
- Familiarity with EYFS learning goals, communication strategies and sensory integration
- Confidence in building trusting relationships with young children and their families
- A Level 3 TA or EYFS qualification (desirable but not essential for the right candidate)
