EYFS Teaching Assistant - Reception & Nursery Support
Location: Haringey, N15 - commutable from Wood Green, Tottenham, Seven Sisters, St Ann's, and Harringay
Pay: 95-105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role

  • You will work closely with the EYFS team to deliver play-based learning, phonics, and early mathematical fluency in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting structured early literacy and phonics sessions, helping children access the progressive reading approach
  • Facilitating play-based learning and exploration grounded in the diverse cultural experiences of the school community
  • Supporting sensory, emotional, and social wellbeing, ensuring children feel physically and emotionally safe to learn
  • Embedding foundational numeracy and reading skills, using inclusive and culturally relevant strategies
  • Observing and recording progress, contributing to children's development profiles and reporting to teachers and parents.

Who You Are

  • Experienced or trained in Early Years or Reception settings (paid or voluntary).
  • Passionate about inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and reflective learning.
  • Excellent communicator, patient, adaptable, and committed to building trusting relationships with young learners and families.
