EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our supportive early years team. The successful candidate will assist in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2–5 years.

You will be supporting the class teacher and colleagues in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote children’s curiosity, creativity and independence.

You will be working closely with children to support their personal, social, emotional and educational development.

You should be able to promote and follow safeguarding, health and safety and equal opportunities policies at all times.

The nursery school provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged two to five can learn, play and grow with confidence. It offers a creative, play-based curriculum inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), designed to encourage curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning. The dedicated team of early years professionals works closely with families to support each child’s individual development, ensuring every child feels happy, secure and valued. With bright, engaging classrooms and access to well-resourced outdoor areas, the nursery promotes exploration, imagination and holistic growth in every aspect of children’s early education.

To be considered for the role of EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:

• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool or primary setting.
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

As EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Support the class teacher or Room Leader in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Assist in planning, preparing and setting up activities that promote children’s curiosity, creativity and independence.
• Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies are followed at all times.
