Academics are currently hiring Graduate Teaching Assistants in some Westminster schools to help meet increasing demands in classrooms and enhance the overall learning experience. These graduate teaching assistants, often pursuing or holding advanced degrees, play a key role in supporting teachers by leading small group sessions, assisting with lesson planning, and providing one-on-one academic support to students. The initiative aims to improve student engagement and achievement, while also giving future educators practical classroom experience. This approach reflects a strategic effort by schools to strengthen teaching capacity and address diverse learning needs.

About the position:

• Position; Graduate Teaching Assistant
• ASAP Start or September 2025 start
• Primary schools based in Westminster
• £90-£110 per day
• Full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm

Key Responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

• Support children with a range of special educational needs in both individual and group settings
• Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning programs
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment to help students thrive academically and socially
• Provide one-on-one support and adapt resources to suit individual learning needs
