A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Lambeth is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or education professionals to gain valuable classroom experience in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide in-class support to students aged 11-16 across a range of subjects
Offer 1:1 or small group interventions to boost academic progress
Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation
Support students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN or EAL
Be a positive role model, helping students to build confidence and resilience
What We're Looking For:
A graduate with a 2:2 or above (all subjects considered - education, psychology, English, maths, and science are especially welcome)
A genuine interest in working in education and supporting young people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, reliable, and able to take initiative
Experience working with young people (voluntary or paid) is a plus
