We are seeking an exceptional Head of Chemistry to lead our successful Chemistry department from Easter. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and inspiring leader to drive academic excellence, innovation, and high-quality teaching within a thriving Science faculty.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Provides strategic direction for the Chemistry department, ensuring a rigorous, engaging curriculum across KS3–KS5.

  • Delivers excellent teaching, modelling best practice and fostering a culture of curiosity, challenge, and achievement.

  • Leads, supports, and develops a team of chemistry teachers to ensure consistently high standards.

  • Oversees assessment, curriculum planning, and quality assurance processes.

  • Enhances enrichment opportunities, such as STEM clubs, Olympiad entries, university preparation, and educational trips.

  • Contributes to whole-school initiatives and works collaboratively within the wider Science faculty.
