Higher Learning Teaching Assistant | Wandsworth (SW15) | 110- 130 per day | Full Time | ASAP

We're excited to be working in partnership with a vibrant and ambitious all-through academy in Wandsworth. Led by an expert team of executive principals with a strong background in school improvement, this is a school where innovation, inclusion, and high standards are at the heart of everything they do.

We are looking to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their outstanding team. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about Special Educational Needs (SEN) who's ready to take the next step in their career within a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.

Role Overview:

As an HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting students' learning and overall wellbeing, helping them to reach their full potential in a caring and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students, including small-group and individual interventions.
  • Lead learning activities, plan and deliver lessons, and assess student progress.
  • Work closely with teachers to support curriculum delivery and classroom management.
  • Contribute to SEN provision by implementing targeted learning strategies and preparing resources.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience working with children and young people, particularly those with additional needs or SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications: A-level (Level 3) and NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Confidence and ability to meet HLTA standards (or a willingness to do so within 6 months).
  • Training in literacy interventions and familiarity with specific learning difficulties or curriculum areas is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children to thrive.
