Role: One-to-One Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Daily Rate: 85-105 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: Lambeth - nearest station Streatham
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
About the Role
A supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Lambeth is looking for a committed One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position will involve working in Key Stage 1 (KS1), providing targeted support to a pupil with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the student access the curriculum, develop key skills, and make progress in a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored one-to-one support for a KS1 pupil with MLD.
Adapt classroom activities and learning materials to meet individual needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence.
Support social and emotional development alongside academic learning.
Liaise with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent progress.
Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), ideally MLD.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow support plans.
A genuine interest in working in education and making a difference.
