Team Teach Trained Support Staff - SEMH School

Location: Merton, South West
Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 90-120 per day (depending on experience and qualification)

Tempest are seeking Team Teach trained support staff to work in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Haringey.

This welcoming and inclusive school supports students who require additional help in managing their behaviour and developing positive social and emotional skills. We are looking for calm, resilient, and proactive individuals who can build strong relationships and implement positive behaviour strategies in line with the school's ethos.

The Role

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in class and around the school
  • Implementing positive behaviour management techniques
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the pastoral team
  • Contributing to a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Team Teach qualification (Level 1 or Level 2)
  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic approach
  • Commitment to promoting positive outcomes for young people
