About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join schools across London. You will be working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
  • Assist with classroom activities, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Implement tailored learning strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Help manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
