We are looking for anexperiencedand dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Redbridge. This role involves supporting children withcomplex needs, and we are specifically seeking candidates who haveproven experiencein a similar setting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent, high-quality support to children with a range of complex needs.

  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement and adapt individual learning plans.

  • Support children with communication, sensory processing, emotional regulation and social development.

  • Use your existing knowledge and skills to respond effectively to challenging behaviour and emotional needs.

  • Liaise with SENCOs, therapists and families to ensure joined-up support.


Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND

  • Understanding of a range of special educational needs (e.g., autism, global developmental delay, sensory processing issues).

  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
