SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEND School
Location: Harrow, North West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Until the end of the academic year (with a strong likelihood of continuing into the new academic year)

SANZA is working with a very popular and well-regarded secondary SEND school in Harrow, North West London, to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for a skilled and compassionate practitioner with a strong background in supporting students with complex needs. The successful candidate will be supporting a female student in Year 11, who has a combination of learning needs, behaviour needs and epilepsy, with frequent seizures.



The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to a student with complex SEND

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour, particularly during challenging situations

  • Working calmly, patiently and consistently to guide and reassure the student

  • Responding appropriately to seizures and health needs

  • Working closely with teaching staff, SEN professionals and support services



The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have proven experience working with students with complex needs, ideally in a secondary or specialist setting

  • Be calm, patient and confident in managing behaviour in a positive and supportive way

  • Hold an up-to-date First Aid certificate (essential due to the student's epilepsy)

  • Be reliable, resilient and committed to inclusive education

  • Be available to start as soon as possible
