Location: Wandworth, SW18
Salary: £89 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Full-time, 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM

About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?  Axcis is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students in a vibrant Sixth Form setting at a specialist school in Wandsworth. In this rewarding role, you will work with students aged 16-18, supporting their academic and personal development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEND, focusing on academic, social, and personal development.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required, including manual handling and peg feeding.
  • Support students in managing challenging behaviour and ensure a safe and structured environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create tailored learning plans for individual students.
  • Ensure students' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing is prioritized throughout the day.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young adults in their academic journey.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
