Start Date: January 2026 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Newham.

This role involves teaching Year 10 and Year 12 groups in Psychology and Sociology, inspiring students to engage with social sciences and develop critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Psychology and Sociology to Year 10 and Year 12 students.

  • Plan and deliver schemes of work that promote independent learning, analysis, and debate.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to support achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS/PGCE) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Psychology and Sociology at KS4 and KS5.
