What you'll do as a Sociology Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and innovativeSociologylessons that cater to a range of learning styles and sociological interests.
• Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore sociological concepts and develop their understanding of society.
• Teach a variety of sociological theories and perspectives, fostering students' critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Lead and facilitate classroom discussions and debates on contemporary social issues.
• Assess and monitor student progress inSociology, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development of theSociologycurriculum and departmental resources.

What you'll need to be a successful Sociology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Sociology or a related field.
• Experience teachingSociologyat the secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum forSociology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
