Long Term Futures is seeking a motivated and insightful SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive Year 3 class within a highly supportive primary provision in Camden. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a passion for speech and language development and communication support, looking to build specialist experience in a school that truly values its staff and inclusive ethos.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in supporting the class as well as two pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) - one with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and another with speech and language communication needs. Working closely with the class teacher and Speech & Language Therapist, your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting pupils in accessing learning and developing confidence within the classroom.
  • Delivering targeted speech and language programmes under professional guidance.
  • Encouraging social interaction and communication through structured group activities.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and helping pupils build resilience and independence.
  • Providing interventions that promote engagement, listening, and participation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience supporting children with ASD and communication needs, ideally in a KS2 setting.
  • Keen interest in speech and language therapy, psychology, or child development.
  • Clear, patient communicator who can adapt their approach to individual needs.
  • Organised, reflective, and eager to learn from therapists and experienced staff.
