Horizon Teachers is working with a welcoming Primary School in Barnet that is seeking a confident and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This long-term role involves working 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who thrives with structure, routine, and active engagement.

The ideal candidate will be sporty, energetic, and able to bring a calm but authoritative presence to the classroom. You'll be someone who can set clear boundaries, build strong rapport, and help the pupil regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning through movement and tailored activities.

The school is looking for:
  • A Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with ASD or similar needs.
  • A confident, sporty, and structured approach - someone who can be both nurturing and firm.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work closely with the ARP and class teacher.
  • A calm, positive attitude with excellent behaviour management strategies.
