Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant? Step Teachers are working with a school in Islington to find a Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Years 3/4. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children stay engaged, focused and supporting their learning and development.
Teaching Assistant - Role:
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
- Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
