SANZA Teaching Agency are thrilled to announce a wonderful opportunity to join a diverse, enriching, values- driven primary school in Barking & Dagenham. They are seeking a teaching assistant to work across the school, from nursery to year 6.

About the role

You will support various students across the year groups with different needs, such as Autism, behavioural difficulties, speech, language and communication problems, EAL, and other complex needs.

You will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the day delivering targeted intervention activities.

About you

  • Must have experience as a teaching assistant/learning support assistant
  • Must have experience supporting children with special needs
  • Must have great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have an understanding of pre-verbal communication methods and strategies
  • Must be empathetic, patient and have a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
