Daily Rate: 90-110 per day
About the Role
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2) pupil with Autism (ASD). The role will begin on 3rd November and is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey.
The successful Teaching Assistant will help the student access learning, manage transitions, and develop confidence and independence within the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one classroom support for a pupil with Autism in LKS2.
Implement strategies to support engagement, focus, and emotional regulation.
Encourage participation in lessons and social interaction with peers.
Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team.
Support sensory and communication needs where required.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with Autism (ASD) support experience.
Patient, understanding, and proactive approach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to the pupil's needs and maintain consistency.
