About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from 3rd November. This role involves providing one-to-one support for a Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.
The school is looking for a patient, proactive Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships and adapt support strategies to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent one-to-one support for a pupil in KS1.
Assist with classroom learning, communication, and social development.
Implement tailored strategies to support engagement and progress.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support plans.
Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting pupils with additional needs.
Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
