A friendly Primary School in Haringey is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, working with an Upper KS2 pupil with Autism (ASD). This long-term Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone who thrives on helping children reach their potential both academically and emotionally.
The successful Teaching Assistant will provide targeted support to help the pupil stay focused, regulate emotions, and engage positively in lessons. The school offers excellent SEN support and guidance from experienced leaders.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism.
Encourage engagement through visual learning and structured tasks.
Implement behaviour management and communication strategies.
Liaise with teachers, SENCo, and parents to track progress.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
Experience supporting pupils with Autism or additional needs.
Positive, empathetic, and resilient nature.
Must hold a DBS on the Update Service.

Pay: 85-100 per day, depending on experience
