A friendly, community-driven, larger than average Primary school in Leyton are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join them on a full time basis, as soon as possible

The school is extremely unique in its offering, and boasts excellent outside space and a wonderful sensory garden. As well as this (in recognition of its dedication to facilitating the growing number of children requiring special assistance) the school has 5 ‘nurture rooms’, acting as a pathway back into mainstream for those that aren’t quite ready yet.

The successful candidate will be placed in one of the nurture rooms, typically working within a small team of a Teacher and support assistants.

The successful candidate must bring energy to their role and be willing to be a flexible team player when called upon. The school is passionate in forging strong relations with parents to ensure that care and learning extends beyond the classroom, and therefore this will be expected of the successful Teaching Assistant.

The school is easily accessible from Leyton, Stratford and Maryland train station. On site parking is also available.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • A fully enhanced DBS registered to the update service, along with 2 professional references.
