The Role

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering personalised learning programmes.
  • Adapt and differentiate learning materials to suit individual needs.
  • Support children's social and emotional development through positive relationships and encouragement.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe and stimulating classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive and succeed.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
