SEN Teaching Assistant (Floating EYFS-Year 6) - SE London

A friendly and well-supported Primary School in SE London is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS to Year 6 as a floating member of the inclusion team. This SEN Teaching Assistant role begins immediately, with the school trialling strong candidates ASAP.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support across multiple year groups depending on need. Your work may involve supporting pupils with Autism, communication needs, sensory needs or behaviour linked to SEND. This role is ideal for an adaptable, confident SEN Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety, problem-solving and thinking creatively to support pupils of different ages.

Your responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant include:

  • Supporting children across EYFS-KS2 with Autism and general SEN needs

  • Assisting with communication plans, sensory breaks and visual timetables

  • Working flexibly between classes each day, depending on the school's needs

  • Collaborating with the SENCO and classroom teachers

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:
