An Outstanding Primary School in Deptford is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to two children in their Reception class. The role is to start ASAP from 11th November, offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate professional who wants to make a difference early in a child's education.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual learning plans, promote social interaction, and ensure the children feel confident and supported in their classroom environment.
Key responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Deliver 1:1 and small group support to two Reception pupils with additional needs.
Assist in creating engaging, play-based learning activities.
Support children with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation.
Promote positive behaviour and independence.
Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to track progress.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Teaching assiistant experience working with SEN pupils, ideally within Early Years.
Knowledge of Autism, developmental delay, or similar needs.
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
Teaching assistant to have a proactive approach and excellent communication skills.

Start Date: 11th November 2025
Contract: Long-term with the potential to go permanent
Pay: 90-110per day (based on experience)
