Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on cosmetic surgery.

Theatre Practitioner/ODP Key Responsibilities
  • Operating Theatre Preparation: Ensure the operating theatre is fully sterilized and prepared for procedures.
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgeries.
  • Sterilization: Sterilize materials, gloves, and gowns.
  • Inventory Counts: Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.
  • Team Coordination: Liaise with other nurse teams throughout the surgical process.
  • Post-Surgery Care: Assist with dressing wounds and preparing the patient for the recovery room.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist the surgeon throughout the procedure with various tasks.

Theatre Practitioner/ODP Requirements
  • Qualifications: Formal nursing qualifications are required.
  • Experience: Must have experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota. On-call duties after the surgical list are also required.
  • Shift Patterns: Shifts start at either 7 am or 9 am.
