Job Title: Modelling Implementation Manager

Location: Warwick, Wokingham, London - Hybrid (2 to 3 days a month in office)

Rate: 600 per day inside umbrella - 6 months contract with possible extensions

About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the development of detailed design and delivery plans for Whole System Models essential to enable RESP Pathways. You'll lead a talented team, ensuring that model requirements are met and that sourcing strategies are implemented effectively. Your collaboration with the RESP Management team will be key to ensuring operational capabilities are in place for our end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Charge: Drive the development and delivery of the pathways plan and prototyping for a robust analysis function with agreed models in place for RESP v1 pathways.
  • Strategic Oversight: Ensure plans align with the agreed design scope and that resource requirements are identified and sourced efficiently.
  • Governance and Assurance: Chair critical working groups to guarantee successful delivery against plans and scope while ensuring design decisions are governed through technical boards.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with transformation and technical delivery partners, acting as owner of pathway analysis and modelling.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Industry Expertise: Solid experience within the energy sector, with a strong understanding of gas, electricity, or hydrogen markets.
  • Analytical Background: Proven experience in Modelling, Analytics, Forecasting, or Scenario Development, with the ability to integrate multiple models effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience leading teams, engaging with senior management, and developing innovative delivery strategies.
  • Relationship Builder: A track record of fostering strong working relationships across all organizational levels and with key stakeholders, including government and regulators.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver projects at pace.

Essential Skills:

  • Management Capability: Ability to integrate people, processes, data, and tools within an analysis and modelling function.
  • Resource Oversight: Skill in maintaining oversight and prioritization across multiple workstreams.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas and influence key stakeholders effectively.
  • Risk Identification: Capability to identify modelling and analysis risks and define mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in challenging energy supply and demand data to inform decision-making and model development priorities.
