Finance and Personnel Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Personnel Administrator to join our team based in Newham, East London This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the school and assisting in the effective management of human resources, contributing significantly to the achievement of strategic goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

Finance Responsibilities:

  • Input standing information into the Finance system Bromcom, adhering to procedures.
  • Process Purchase Orders from requisitions accurately and within agreed authorisation and timescales.
  • Handle payments via purchase card while maintaining high-quality audit records.
  • Process invoices ensuring they are authorised appropriately and paid within agreed procedures and timescales.
  • Address queries from suppliers, debtors, budget holders, and other school staff.
  • Manage confidential information with high standards, complying with the school’s GDPR procedures at all times.

Personnel Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all data entered into Bromcom is accurate.
  • Generate reports as required by the HR/GDPR/Compliance Officer or the Senior Finance and Personnel Officer.
  • Provide HR support to school staff, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records.
  • Advise staff on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with staff training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in finance and personnel administration.
  • Familiarity with financial and HR systems, preferably Bromcom.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and employment law.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
