Our leading international law firm client has an extremely exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join their London office on a temp to perm basis. This position will be joining a friendly and established HR team who are responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of the Firm's employees in London. They are responsible for all employee relations matters, providing advice and support to ensure that performance management is carried out in a timely and appropriate manner, including assisting with general training issues.

Key duties will include:

  • Acting as a key business partner to the London office, under the Director of HR, providing support to partners, counsel and associate populations in a HR generalist capacity
  • Dealing with all employee relations issues when they arise, including grievance, disciplinary, absence management and performance management
  • Assist with the compensation and benefits package for the London office, linking in salary/bonus to benefits and reward, and working with the Senior HR Manager, Compensation, Benefits & Wellness Specialist and Recruitment Manager to ensure that we are competitive and market leading, where possible
  • Assist the Senior HR Manager in the co-ordination of annual salary and bonus review processes for the London office
  • Working in conjunction with the Senior HR Manager to manage the annual fee earner and business services/secretarial evaluation processes
  • Manage the secondment and transfer processes in conjunction with the Senior HR Manager and HR Officer
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with all changes to Pensions regulations, assisting the Director of HR and Compensation, Benefits & Wellness Specialist with the implementation of any changes
  • Support the Director of HR and Senior HR Manager in reviewing, developing and implementing policies and procedures as well as monitoring effectiveness of policies and initiatives
  • Management of Workday, project planning as necessary
  • Conduct exit interviews for all leavers with follow up as required
  • Deal with immigration and visa applications and related issues
  • Involvement in various D&I initiatives and become member of one of the Inclusion Committee sub-committees
  • Run interview skills and performance review training as appropriate
  • Keep up to date with relevant employment law updates; and
  • Additional HR projects as and when required

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a law firm

  • Able to work well in a team and contribute fully to its success
  • A meticulous approach (detail orientated) with a commercial and pragmatic outlook
  • An aptitude for working in a fast-moving business environment, and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • An outgoing and friendly manner
  • Robust character: ability to interact with people at all levels in a polite and constructive way.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD level 5 qualified or above and ideally degree educated (or equivalent).
