Our client, a respected global governing, is seeking a Membership Manager to join their Membership team.

The Role of Membership Manager

The Membership Manager is responsible for the oversight and operational delivery of the institute’s Membership, Accreditation, Professional Standards and volunteer engagement workstreams. This includes managing the full lifecycle of membership and registration processes, ensuring compliance with Engineering Council standards, coordinating academic accreditation activities, and enhancing the overall member experience.

Person Specification

Essential

Proven experience in Membership bodies or professional standards function, preferably in a Membership / Professional body or similar setting.

Strong understanding of professional registration frameworks (e.g., CEng, IEng, EngTech).

Experience in accreditation, compliance, or standards-based work.

Excellent people management and team leadership skills.

Strong project planning and delivery experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience producing professional documentation and reports.

Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and CMS platforms.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable

Knowledge of the AHEP accreditation process and Engineering Council requirements.

Experience engaging with committees, assessors and volunteers.

Experience in writing and producing content for current & prospective members
