MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit Payroll Manager to join them on a Fixed Term basis in North London.
Salary: 50,410 Per Annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Payroll Information such as Starters, Leavers and Variable payments are processed effectively and efficiently as instructed by HR within the payroll deadlines
- Prepare and communicate all relevant appointments to HR and Directors to ensure timetable is adhered to and Payroll is processed as per the timetable
- Produce all Payroll reports four days before payday to enable checking and authorisation by HR/Directors
- All Payroll transactions are reviewed and authorised in line with the agreed control
- Ensure all Payroll information is treated as confidential and all filing is kept up to date and is compliant with statutory requirements regarding confidentiality and personal data.
- Ensure all payroll information is only kept for the required amount of time and delete all information once that time has passed to keep in line with GDPR requirements
- Responsible for ensuring all RTI information such as Tax Codes etc is downloaded and applied monthly, before processing payroll
- Ensure all business expenses are processed and paid in accordance with HMRC guidelines
- Ensure all monthly end of payroll submissions (FPS,EPS) are submitted within the deadlines set by HMRC
- Ensure P32 payments are processed and paid before 19th of the following month
- Process and distribute P45s and P60s where necessary
- Process and submit all Year End Data
Suitable candidate:
- Experience of working at a supervisory level, not necessarily in social housing
- Experience of running an in-house payroll system dealing with all aspects of the payroll including deductions, statutory monthly and annual returns and pensions.
- Experience of regular payroll management account reporting to senior management & a good understanding of how accounting ledgers work.
- Experience of RTI & Payroll year end processing
- Understanding of payroll and pension legislation
