Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and Employment Law?Lewisham Council is looking for a skilled HR Adviser (PO2) to join our Human Resources team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload of Employee Relations (ER) matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence cases

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers across the council

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and procedures

  • Support change management and workforce planning initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing complex ER casework

  • Strong working knowledge of UK Employment Law

  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
