Are you an experienced HR Business Partner Lead with experience working in the public sector?

I am working exclusively with an academic focused government department on an initial 6-month temporary HR Business Partner Lead position with the possibility of extension. The government department is looking to bring in a new specialist interim HR team to help the organisation through a busy and challenging time. They are keen to meet with highly experienced senior HR professionals who can come in and make an impact immediately.

The key duties include:

  • Directly business partnering with key directorates, building relationships and providing timely HR solutions to queries and issues.
  • Creating and delivering strategic workforce plans for our Executive teams and People Directorate, overseeing all workforce plans to ensure consistency and collaboration where possible.
  • Driving strategic organisational projects. These include improving processes across the organisations, job evaluation and workforce planning
  • Responsible for employee relations, ensuring risk is managed alongside the people experience, reaching a timely resolution for all parties involved.
  • Leading and managing complex transformation change processes, ensuring benefits are realised, change is embedded, and the experience is positive for those involved.
  • Supporting the delivery of the organisational People Strategy
  • Regularly reviewing data to assess the trends and ensure they are on track to meet targets.
  • Embedding cultural attributes and EDI commitments across the organisation.
  • Overseeing all people policies and process maps.

The role is an outcome focused position and would be a great fit for a senior HR Business Partner of Head of HR Business Partnering. The role will sit outside IR35, paying around £550 per day. They have offices in both London (Canary Wharf) and Swindon, and would like the post holder to be happy to attend either office 1-2 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the public and private sectors. It would be very advantageous to have worked within central government previously.

My client, who has asked to be kept confidential at this stage, is keen to meet with highly experienced senior professionals who can come in and make an impact immediately. They would like someone who can start in the post by the end of May.
