Key Account Manager/Director – Water Hygiene

Location: London & Home Counties (Hybrid / Field-based)
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits (DOE)

About the Company

Our client is a leading name in the Water Hygiene and Water Treatment industry, delivering compliance-driven solutions to commercial, public sector, and industrial clients across the South East. With an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation, and service excellence, they are now seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager / Director to strengthen relationships with key clients and drive continued business growth across the London and Home Counties region.

The Role

As a Key Account Manager / Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of high-value contracts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, retention, and growth. You will work strategically to identify new opportunities within existing accounts while leading commercial negotiations and managing client expectations.

You will also play a key role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy, supporting the senior leadership team in delivering ambitious growth plans across the water hygiene sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop long-term relationships with key clients within the water hygiene and treatment sectors.
  • Identify and secure new revenue opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop account growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead high-level negotiations, tenders, and contract renewals.
  • Report on account performance, financials, and customer satisfaction.

About You

  • Proven track record in Key Account Management, Sales, or Commercial Leadership within Water Hygiene/Water Treatment/Legionella Control.
  • Strong understanding of ACoP L8, HSG 274, and water hygiene compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and the ability to spot growth opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the Home Counties.
