Description
The key responsibilities for the role of Recoveries Account Manager (FTC) include:
- Manage a portfolio of 75+ day aged debt cases, driving effective recovery strategies across sectors to minimise risk and maximise recoveries.
- Collaborate with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders (including Asset Management) to support resolution and inform decision-making.
- Evaluate customer financial circumstances to arrange sustainable repayment plans, with awareness of vulnerable customer treatment.
- Review contractual terms, assess bad debt provisions, and make strategic recommendations for write-offs where appropriate.
- Support team development through mentoring, covering early arrears or legal processes when needed, and contributing to reporting and process improvement initiatives.
Profile
The successful candidate for the role of Recoveries Account Manager (FTC) will have:
- 2-3 years of experience in collections/recoveries, particularly in bad debt collection, insolvency, litigation, and asset recovery.
- Strong knowledge of contract and consumer credit, with a background in finance & leasing or motor finance.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
