Business Analyst, SC Cleared

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong data and computer systems background to join a leading organsiation within the central government industry. The successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of expertise level IT Systems and data driven methodologies to gather their business requirements, assess risks, and define structured work packages for the remediation of obsolete hardware, operating systems and applications. This role requires close collaboration with IT Teams, Business Owners and vendors to ensure all remediation efforts align with enterprise systems architecture, business priorities, security policies and regulatory requirements

Rate - £530.00 OUTSIDE IR35

Duration - 6 Months with opportunity of extension

Location - London (hybrid work model)

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Computer Systems Assessment & Data Management:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify, analyse, and document obsolete components within Enterprise Computer Systems, including hardware, operating systems, applications, and dependencies.

  • Evaluate vendor road maps, support contracts, and enterprise system interdependencies to assess and mitigate the business impact of obsolescence.

  • Develop and maintain a centralised inventory and risk register for Enterprise Computer Systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

2. Requirements Workshops & Data Validation:

  • Lead workshops to gather and validate business and technical requirements, focusing on Enterprise Computer Systems upgrades or replacements.

  • Analyse functional and non-functional requirements for system-level remediation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, business objectives, security policies, and compliance standards.

  • Prioritize remediation strategies based on data-driven impact analyses and enterprise-level dependenciesDefine structured work packages tailored to Enterprise Computer Systems, detailing tasks, timelines, and responsibilities.

  • Utilize data visualization and reporting tools to monitor progress, manage risks, and present actionable insights on Enterprise Computer Systems remediation

  • Continuously track and report on system-level performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
